The idea of the test bed was born from the need to simulate a fiber optic PON (Passive Optical Network) in very limited spaces.
This equipment is very useful for all those who intend to train their technicians in measuring a PON fiber optic network (FTTx), discriminate the various components of the PON network (splitters, connectors, joints, fiber etc), study and identify the best OTDR tool settings for the measurement of the fiber section and to test and evaluate the performance of the instruments in use (thanks to FBG filters that simulate the termination of the fiber in the user’s home).
