The FBG optical reflector is a product that allows the operator to monitor, through the necessary instrumentation, a point of interest within the FTTH network.
When a signal generated by an optical measurement system – OTDR – at an established wavelength passes through an FBG present on a passive optical network (PON), a reflection is generated at a wavelength between 1645 and 1655 nm. For a bidirectional reflector all the optical characteristics remain unchanged in both possible ways of transmitting the signal (Forward and Backward). Connectorized SC / APC Male – SC / APC Female.
