The armored breakout cable is composed of a set of optical patchcords protected by a protective metal braid.
The patchcords contained within the cable, 1.6 or 2 mm in diameter each, are connectorized from both ends and wrapped in a helix on a pull element inside the cable. The outer sheath can be LSZH, PVC or PE. It is mainly used in external connections outside telephone exchanges and / or data centers, or for connections in antenna-aerial systems (UMTS, GSM, LTE).
